Sample assessment
The granular tungsten-ore sample was not characterized by mineralogy or initial distribution. Zirconia was recorded for the jar and media.
Analyst consideration: An ore powder may contain phases with different grinding responses. Flow observed early in the wet trial and the later D90 should be considered with recovery before inferring uniform treatment of the whole material.
Recorded objective
Meet the recorded 1 µm fineness requirement.
Equipment and selection
The machine entry is XQM. TENCAN Vertical Planetary Ball Mill is associated at the recorded series level. No exact housing variant is inferred from jar capacity or an abbreviated machine label.
Test setup
| Jar entry | Zirconia 250 |
|---|---|
| Media entry | Zirconia 280g |
| Media-charge notation | 1-100/2-100/3-50/12-20/15-20 |
| Sample-load entry | 50 (unit not stated) |
| Controller speed setting | 600 |
| Cycle notation | 5/1 |
Unlabelled jar, media and load numbers remain source notation, not assigned units. Controller settings are not certified rpm. The cycle notation has no independently stated timing unit or reversing definition.
Recorded procedure and results
Water, 50 g, was added. At eight minutes the suspension had relatively good flow. At two hours the record is explicitly marked as meeting the requirement and records D90 = 0.376. The procedure does not state a unit directly beside this value.
Interpretation
The report retains the favorable flow observation, acceptance statement and exact percentile reading separately. The missing measurement unit must not be silently borrowed from the target, and a D90 reading does not prove an all-particle 1 µm limit.
Practical precautions
Confirm analytical units, sample dispersion and the acceptance statistic. For a different ore, verify mineralogy and recovery before treating the recorded wet charge as a comparable test.
TENCAN alternatives to evaluate
TENCAN Omnidirectional Planetary Ball Mill. For tungsten ore, an omnidirectional wet comparison can retain the 50 g water addition and two-hour sample. Confirm the 0.376 reading unit before comparing outcomes. Assembly tumbling changes redistribution of the ore suspension; a matched comparison can test continued media contact while holding the liquid addition and measurement preparation fixed. This is an untested comparison proposal, not a result of this trial.
Association follows the explicit XQM source entry; only recorded tested series/configurations are related. No jar-volume inference.
