TENCANPLANETARY BALL MILLS

Pollen planetary milling: initial grains followed by recorded acceptance at three hours.

Pollen planetary milling: initial grains followed by recorded acceptance at three hours. Observe the response and obtain an acceptable milled sample; no numerical target was entered.

Sample assessment

The feed was granular pollen. Its plant source, moisture and initial size distribution were not recorded.

Analyst consideration: For pollen, residual grains and agglomerates may contribute differently to the observed texture. Moisture and recovery should be documented before interpreting the longer accepted sequence as uniform fragment reduction.

Recorded objective

Observe the response and obtain an acceptable milled sample; no numerical target was entered.

Equipment and selection

The machine entry is XQM. TENCAN Vertical Planetary Ball Mill is associated at the recorded series level. No exact housing variant is inferred from jar capacity or an abbreviated machine label.

Test setup

Jar entryZirconia 250
Media entryZirconia 250
Media-charge notationStandard charge; individual specification not recorded
Sample-load entry50 (unit not stated)
Controller speed setting500
Cycle notation5/1

Unlabelled jar, media and load numbers remain source notation, not assigned units. Controller settings are not certified rpm. The cycle notation has no independently stated timing unit or reversing definition.

Recorded procedure and results

A zirconia jar and zirconia media were recorded. After one hour there was no adhesion, but some particles remained. The procedure continued for a further two hours and states that acceptance could then be reached. The result field is explicitly marked as meeting the requirement.

Interpretation

The positive endpoint belongs to the longer sequence, not the initial one-hour observation. The notebook gives no final distribution or mesh standard, so the residual-particle observation cannot be converted into a numerical size claim.

Practical precautions

Preserve the one-hour and final samples separately. Record pollen moisture and establish the actual acceptance criterion before using the three-hour sequence as a repeat method.

TENCAN alternatives to evaluate

TENCAN Compact Horizontal Planetary Ball Mill. For pollen, a horizontal comparison can investigate whether residual grains disappear sooner. Keep the one-hour and three-hour observations and the same moisture preparation. The horizontal arrangement offers a different gravity relationship for the granular plant material, allowing a direct comparison of residual grains at the existing sampling points. This is an untested comparison proposal, not a result of this trial.

Association follows the explicit XQM source entry; only recorded tested series/configurations are related. No jar-volume inference.
