TENCANPLANETARY BALL MILLS

Biochar and pyrite: recorded outcomes for two mixing ratios.

Biochar and pyrite: Mix for 3 hours and record the powder distribution for two component ratios. Recorded setup, outcomes and evidence limits.

Sample assessment

The biochar–pyrite trial changes the component ratio while keeping a recorded three-hour treatment. The two formulations require separate endpoint records. The laboratory test record documents this preparation only; applying the method to another batch requires a matched trial.

Recorded objective

Mix for 3 hours and record the powder distribution for two component ratios.

Equipment and selection

The recorded planetary machine is XQM. The corresponding TENCAN family is the Vertical Planetary Ball Mill. The jar volume identifies the test container and does not establish an exact machine variant or production capacity. Equipment association follows the recorded machine designation.

Test setup

Recorded planetary machineXQM
Documented setup250 mL stainless-steel jar; zirconia balls of 5, 8 and 10 mm at recorded mass ratio 5:3:2; speed setting 550.
Recorded operating cycleRun 10 / pause 2; units not stated in mode field

Speed values are reproduced as recorded settings. A rotational unit and planetary-disc versus jar-speed basis are not stated, so these numbers are not labelled rpm.

Recorded procedure and results

A charge of 8 g biochar and 16 g FeS2 was milled for 3 hours and measured D50 = 10.68 µm and D90 = 36.78 µm. A second charge containing 8 g biochar and 8 g FeS2 used the same recorded jar/media arrangement and 3-hour treatment. Its sample measured D50 = 9 µm and D90 = 31.48 µm.

Interpretation

These are two recorded mixing outcomes with different composition ratios. The size data do not isolate the effect of composition from all other process variables or prove chemical activation. No fixed size acceptance threshold is stated.

Practical precautions

Keep the two formulations and their endpoint samples separate. Check the influence of jar and media wear on subsequent composition measurements, and add a direct blend-uniformity test when that property matters.

TENCAN alternatives to evaluate

For follow-up comparison, consider the TENCAN Omnidirectional Planetary Ball Mill. For biochar and pyrite, a matched QXQM trial can test whether changing orientation affects each biochar–pyrite ratio at the same treatment time. Keep sample mass, media and sampling times controlled. This is a proposed comparison; the test record does not demonstrate a superior result for that alternative. Confirm jar compatibility and the permitted complete loaded mass before selecting a configuration.

Procedure records XQM; related product is the corresponding tested machine family. Exact variant is not inferred from jar size.
