Mill Capacity and Sample Load: What to Confirm
Separate nominal mill capacity, jar volume and the amount of material in your actual batch.

Three different quantities.
Separate the nominal equipment capacity, the volume of each jar and the amount of sample you need to process. These are not interchangeable descriptions.
Give the working requirement.
State the mass or volume per run, the starting form and number of samples. Share bulk density if known. The jar, media and working space must be considered together.
Confirm a configuration.
Ask an engineer to confirm the usable loading arrangement for your sample. Avoid converting a catalog capacity directly into an assumed sample mass.
Work through the selection guide, or discuss a sample evaluation.
